im using FL 4 and im having a bit of a problem understanding the modulation techniques and how to link channels to in the step sequencer to effects such as the peak controller. I looked at an example but its really confusing to figure out which controllers to lonk them to...

can anybody help me with this problem by perhaps claryfying the principal behind modulation and the effect it has in your tunes???

yeah... you start with 4 channels... kick, clap, hihat, snare

if you left click on the name of the channel in stepsequencer (F6) then a panel opens...

now in fl4 you see top right a gray box with this sign --

if you press and hold mouse on that boc and slide up. then it becomes the number 1

That means.. channel one.
Now you want to link a channel to a sample, ts404 whatever. lets say.. we're going to add the kick some delay( if you succeed in this small tutorial then it's easy to confirm )

go to step sequencer (F6) and leftclick on the channel who says "kick". the kick panel opens...

you see that grey bar on the right.. we talked about that before... slide it till it displays channel 2.. ... when you done that.. doubleclick on that grey box.. the mixer opens. You see 21 knobs and faders in a row... below that . there are rows too only vertically with a number in it...
press the arro.. go over select and then select delay2...
there's your channel effect... in the mixer... you select the effects in diffrent channels... in the sample panel.. you select the channel that sound has to go thru.. now.....

i guess this will do the job

now if you want to know about automation... then read the manual.... and i mean READ.
