confused about electronica forum

sorry for my ignorance.......but ive been listening to ambient and world music for quiet some time and it happens a lots of times that u cant classify the music into a certain genre......its just depends on the listener at times

the line ur talking abt........well its not the same everywhere........
i have no personal complaints agiant u but seriosuly dude u really cant classify world and ambient at times.........it depends on the listener too..........

Of course, the definitions are flexible, and there is a definate part where these sections overlap, but when someone gives something that should definately NOT BE defined as such, then that's when I act. I take the farthest line as defined by myself & by Shahar for the 'border' of the section, and most definately not the most restrictive.
And Traveller: technically, none of this board is needed, but I don't see you asking to shut it all down.

I think that the "Electronica" section is very important (for me and others, not you Traveller) This is a section where we can read and post threads about other music then psytrance/Goa. Muisc like, Aphex Twin, The Prodigy, FSOL, Leftfield, Massive Attack, Orbital ect ect ect ect... This might not be psytrance/goa or psy-chill. But most of those examples are psychedelic. But even if its not psy. It shure as hell is music that i find just as interesting as isratrance. thats why we need the "electronica" section! I belive most people would agree with me on this.

jheez... because world music and electronica
aren't subgenres to ambient in the first place. maybe you should check out some authentic "world" music (almost every topic in the world music section) or a "electronica" album (one of the artists mentioned in the electronica section) before
you make such odd comments which just reveil that you don't even have the slightest clue about what you're really complaining about.
btw: shpongle is not world music! (ok, this
is a matter of opinion but still... )
to make things clearer: it would be
as foolish to label pop music and western classical music under chillout f.e.
