confused about electronica forum

I guess i'm in need of some clarification.....I had created a thread about sandra collins in the electronica forum some time ago, and i just got a message today that it was delted for being off topic since that forum is for chillout music. now, correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the "Ambient & Chillout" forum for chillout music, and the "Electronica" forum for all electronic music? if not, why do we have two separate forums for chillout? |

so am i to assume that the admin was on a clean-up binge and mistook my post in the electronica forum for something in the chillout forum?
i'm just annoyed that my "isratrance junior member" status was taken away, lol. now i've gotta think of a good idea for a new thread to get my title back |

Did you send the moderator who deleted your thread a PM asking that?
First step should be to ask the mod before posting this question here...

correction, i didn't realize that arafela was a bot, and not a person. this machine deleted my post! soon they will enslave our species just like in the matrix! well....maybe not, but that is mildly irritating that a relevant topic i created was deleted for being "off topic" |

OK, I'm in a very bad mood today, so I'll make this to the point.
Vector_0: First, you can PM me and ask about this. If you want to place this in public - this is a game I hate to be forced to play. To make this short, there is a line between ambient & chillout, electronica and world music. Some people don't know it, and sometimes I get pissed off and fix it. I may not be fair, but it isn't an invisible line, I try and make it clear. If you have a problem with my policy, take it to the supermods, as they CAN do something about it, while posting here tends to antagonize everyone.
Traveller: The electronica section exists because it is an extension of the ambient & chillout section, if you have no use for the electronica section, then say that all chillout us offtopic, don't bitch about people getting specific. According to you, GMS and Astrix's music would have no place on this board as well - just that enough people care about them until even you notice that there's no way to dissassociate them from the psytrance music you like to call your own, so you don't complain about that. Either accept the world or change it, but don't be a politician that only talks. Those are the worst kind.
Think before you post, and you will be fine. If I make a mistake, hey, it may very well happen, but no one else here is stepping up to try and explain how to do it better. Nobody likes someone who only complains. Sorry for the bluntness, but this is as diplomatic as my mood allows.

dude, relax. i'm not the least bit angry or anything, and i don't really think i'm antagonizing people with this post...i didn't PM you because you weren't the one who deleted the post, and i couldn't reply to Arafela so i made this thread. then upon reading the FAQ i realized that arafela is a bot, so i just said "fuck it, i won't bother the mod, its not that important." |

So wouldn't all topics about Shpongle example belong to the world music section? And electronica, what's that? Electronic chilled music? I'm just saying. It's not like there's a forum for full on and another for progressive and yet another for minimal. And lets not even start to talk about tech-trance or techno or whatever. Why should Isratrance divide ambient into 3 different genres but have trance as one?
Anyways it's not like that big a thing. I was merely pointing out that I see no need for it, but that's just me..
