Don't have it wide, but sometimes (mostly in sequinser window) I just want to phisically strech the monitor wider.

No cons to using one, but a widescreen that gives you enough resolution for it to be worth using will probably be kinda expensive. Maybe consider using two regular 17" LCD screens? You'd get more screen-space, and if you buy the right ones you might even be able to remove the bezels and mount them edge-to-edge.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

look at the refresh rate (should be less then 17ms), u know the blur left behind by the mouse when u move it on an LCD? That's because of a too high refresh rate... In fact it blurs everything that moves, so it's really important, also check color depth, that's very important too, i'd go with colin, 2 screens is better then 1 widescreen./

I have a 17" 16:9 Nokia
When i got it it was amazing,i could see almost all mixer objects ,in Logic,i arranged the objects better, and the workflow was wider.
But still isnt enough, since i need up 2 40 audio channels plus the midi ch.
I think i need at least 4 monitors, one for any prog is used into a project but basicly i need
1 for arrangment(audio+midi objects)
1 for the mixer
and grows...
I used to use vgas tv out to send the signal to a tv cause i dont have a sec monitor but i got tiered of the tvs freq, its really annoying and gives hiss noiz to monitors.

from what i understand, logic users realy nead at least a second screen, but ive never opened logic in my life im an fl.cubase/reason kind o guy.
is thier any reason to invest in a big and wide screen.
i read reviews and saw that the samsung 913n was very well recieved by the "general public" and that i can get it relitavly cheap, between 1900-2500 NIS.
what do you guys think.
