There is no "compressor for trance music".
If compressor is good, then is good for any kind of music.

Ok guys thanks very much i will try and search for UAD Cards i've heard about it but haven't really been interested since i was more lookin at Compressors like Avalon or Manley but they are way too expensive! I asked for compressor used in trance music because i thought i would get someone to tell me to use a certain one which is very good and budget compressor for makeing your track get fatter! |

thermionic phoenix !!!! its a killler... its stereo and you can use the master compressor version for mastering and mixing... killer on everything ... bass ect....
it really makes the difference.. on the other hand its really expensive but worse every penny

In my experience there are no machines/plugs that are perfect all by themselfs.
At the moment i use a chain of 2 plugs to do basic mastering compression/limiting.
One is cleaner and tighter and one adds some flavour.
Waves has a pretty good hardware one (Waves MaxxBCL), but its a bit single-sided and only part of the solution, imho.
