Cubase's compressor has a side chain button, if you enable that then you can aux-send your channel to this new side chain bus.
if you have an older version of cubase then you must find a compressor that has sidechain "input" and do a little complicated thing with quadchannel group.

hey... i'm wondering if anyones is using fabfilters pro-c?
i like fabf. eq very much - but i can't handle pro-c sidechain function...
any tips how should try it to hear good sounding results? |

Why can't you handle it? I have no experience with the pro-c but I really like the other fabfilter stuff. It is pretty easy to understand usually..

actually i don't know where to use it, yet - i mean on which sounds is it common to sidechain?
are there any "rules" on which channel i add a compressor or sidechain?
in abletons compressor sidechain is very easy for me, cause it's only a klick
but how to sidechain by myself? |
