Can anyone recommend a good compressor and reverb besides those in the Waves pack?

Thanks

verb >> lexicon even the cheapest one, it s the same algo as the pcm just less tweakable if i m right , something to verify before buying.

for cheap ValhallaRoom is hard to beat

ssl x-verb same league as lexicon pcm , not as versatile, work great on less source but quality is there ,very used to it, it s the one i use the most

I was looking for a nice reverb, especially for my drums to give it a bit more vibe. Any tips? I see a lot of people like to layer drums, especially snares and high hats with a bit of reverb.

Edit :

thanks PoM, I'll try the demos of them all and see which I prefer

haven t used it on drums but try ValhallaRoom demo, if you like the sound it s unbeatable quality for the price , could sell way more with a nice gui.

arts acoustic was my most used years ago it s really good but i don't really miss it .

yes demo them and dont judge them too fast and try many source .. lexicon is very hard to beat in how fast you make it sound great..
x verb is there too ,it s not as easy as lexicon to get great sound and there is less algoryhtms , it s less versatile ,as one and only reverb not sure but it can sound beautiful , for synth, voice i love it

2C-Aether is probably the best reverb I've got to use in the past year or so. For compressing I don't use anything outside the waves pack so I don't really know.           Free album out now:

+10000000

Since I got Aether my tracks have taken on a completely new quality. The best music investment I ever made next to Omni and the Fabfilter Bundle.
