i ve just finished my track and trying to use some dynamics on the master output ive created.....ive done fine with the limiter and the fat eq but when i try to use the compressor all i get is distortion ......i play around with the threshold and the ratio but nothing seems to boost my track a bit more without distorting.....any help would be great,,,,

I hope you used the AD-Limiter for the master out.

I don't see any reason on putting the compressor on the master out. Logic compressor is not designed for that kind of channel. Obvisouly u will get distroted sound with a limiter and a compressor and EQ etc...

AD-Limiter should do the trick.

if you have any WAves plugins, try L1 or L2.
T-racks is a nice solution also.

t-racks i like too ( vst and stand-alone ).
normally i use a ditter-plug on the out and somtimes the multipressor or like trip the ad-limiter...
