Good - Urs Plugins, psp Xenon (best limiter ive come across), Voxengo Plugins, sonaklsis Plugins, Roger nicols spekral Plugins, Empure eq and compressors by Flux.

Bad - Waves, Nomad , bluecat

these are just in my opinion. but also my two pennies

These are the ones I use the most:
Izotope - Ozone 4
IK Mutimedia - T-RackS 3
Sonalksis - SV-315 Mk2 Compressor, SV-517 Mk2 Equaliser.

Actually all the Sonalksis plug are exellent.

Limiter: Crysonic Spectraphy - i get best results with it

Compressors: URS, Waves LinMB sometimes

EQ: URS and GlissEQ

Do not like T-Racks, especially new version, but maybe i just don't know how to use it or don't need it           http://soundcloud.com/aedem

Why are the waves bad? I find them pretty good!

i dont know mate, just dont like Waves hehe, i think it maybe the interface's could do with improvments, as for the sounds not the impressive for the money "u pay for them"
i like API series from Waves and ssl series.

yeh frag sterwil plugins are the tits! all of them are gooood.

Ive never been able to get on with T-racks either, theres just somthin harsh and plastic about the sound quality, no offence DHP, maybe i cant use it either

ozone 4 i love, forgot to mention that, i use ozone 4 for surgical Eq'ing, maximizing, and bass imaging. you can image the mid bass freqs wilst keeping the lo end in mono.-i think ...

Be sure to check out plugins from FLUX tho

dunno how it is in psytrance but usually you want the more transparent plugins for mastering, think like you work hard on a track to get the mix and color you want, you don t want it ruined by the mastering enginner if he use plugins that color a lot (and usually these plugins sucks vs hardware).

Izotope - Ozone 4 is very good for the price

hmm thas a good point mate.

but if the mix is near perfect, hopfully the mastering enginer wont have to get his crayons out to colour over my shit hot picture a psytrance project hehe

By the way, question to FLUX users. Don't you have any problems with FLUX plug-ins? They used to crash my projects in Reaper sometimes, so i don't use them since then. But i would like to, because they are nice as far as i remeber, EQ especially.

I need to get some better sounding compressors and EQs. I've made a whole album (and a half) using nothing but Logic's native plug ins. Not that they sound bad, but I need to get on the case with something more...err posh.
That and/or a liquid mix since my mates go on about it as THE budget solution, since a Duende costs a lot.
