Its with Keys (I find the Guitar stuff confusing^^), shows you all keys or chords of a given scale and you can even try out chord progressions with BPM of your choice.

Anyone know where I can find an offline version of something like this? Would be super handy, but I dont really have internet at home, so an online resource doesnt help me much.

Thanx for the replies, will try them. isn't there a possibility to make the online tools offline?
Got a problem with the internet.
Why is it that in belgium they learnt me in the music school the do,re,mi but never the a,b,c....?
Are there also other countries where the do re mi is primary to the a,b,c?? or has it to do with that i learnt playing the piano and not the guitar??????

Greece, but its easy to get used to the C to B way as well. I did not learn this stuff in music school by the way, just spent a week teaching my self the really basic music theory on line.

In spanish we use DO-RE-MI system but it is easy to remember which one is which in the C-D-E version, just practice some repeating.

I seem to remember (from one of the previous lives ) that do-re-mi is a Latin system and A-B-C is a German one. Also, originally B was not Si but Si-flat. Si is actually H (in classical "translation"). I think that got changed already in modern times (in jazz B=Si). Why did they choose La as A - I don't know. Or why this is the note that the whole oprchestra strart tuning to. Maybe because contrabass, cello, viola and violine all have an A string?..

here in austria we use A, H, C, D, ... (with B being si-flat) but we're told that the H is actually a copying mistake and should originally have been a B (which would also be quite logical). still when reading english texts about music theory the B instead of the H i'd expect manages to confuse me every time

I like mixing the Phyrigian with a Spanish Gipsy or a Hungarian Gipsy Persian, and after that with a Diminished scales They have a lot of common notes, but you can really tell stories by changing the scale your song is in.

Check this one out, this can actually play the scale... interesting for learning new flavored scale stuff.
