Could you speed that up a bit and add a little pulse width modulation?
That's fucking sick! |

Listening to music, preferably to as many genres as possible, is a great way to develop a 'musical ear'.
Try listening to pop, metal, jazz...
gives me an idea for a post! |

question mate, in this sample, how do you make that synth sound like it has vibrato on it at times, is it the vst, or pitch wheel modulation? just sounds very simular to ananda shake, always wanted to know how they do that. |

you can achieve this in some ways, depends a bit on the synth you use, but the easiest and most common would be to set LFO->pitch on those specific notes.
try different speeds and just a bit of amount/depth. |

It is easier to show how was that done: http://i.piccy.info/i4/2f/35/804ff608d043f5c476d3b7b8fc6d.jpeg
I used Vanguard vst, with Instant Glide enabled. Any synth that has glide will do the job though.

you're probably asking too much. or maybe not. the best way to learn how a melody works is to first go smoke a reefer and try to just observe things. then you come back to your setup and the shit works through you. works for me.
