cuz all the kool kids are doing it.
It's alwayz the same one's too.... Like the guy who posted in the astrix india thread, i've seen that bugger make a few posts like that.
You know what it is? They think they are the "authority" on what is psytrance or what isn't....
If it's not dark enough, it's not psychedelic. If it doesnt have that goaey feel to it, it's crap. If it's over 150bpm it sucks. If it doesnt have the sort of melodies they like, then it doesnt have soul....
What it is, is that they are either cynical bitter people that have nothing positive in their life, so they have nothing better to do than to express their shitty lives online. Or that they are young and ignorant, and only like what they like and the rest sucks... Or, they believe that they are sooo "underground" and that they know the "true" meaning of psychedelic, that they believe it is kool to let everyone know how "underground" and "psychedelic" they are by degrading others.

If our ancestors weren't critical and just be happy with what they had, we'd still be living in caves.
Same goes for Psytrance.
If we would be happy the way it is now, it would never change.

true, but if you spend all of your time complaining, you never actually see the good things in what you were actually complaining about... The more time you spend with your mouth open, the less time your ears are open.

psytrance has ruined my life. my gf left after the third track. My dog pretends to be spaced out and doesnt listen to my commands. i have lost alot of weight. And i dont have any frnds coz they cant stand my music. But my grandfather(with whom i used to stay with) did write to me once saying "i miss the noise coming from ur room everyday".

I don't know anyone who spends all their time complaining... in fact, does anyone really spend enough time complaining for it to be an issue? It takes, what, 3 minutes to get pissed off and make a post on Isra...

I came to this forum 8 years ago when I first got into this music, took a peek and quickly left because I didn't want to read a bunch of complainers and people talking a lot of shit about the music and each other.

Complaing about psy is the #1 classic topic of the culture.
#2 classic topic is something along the lines of what you just posted
Nothing previously experienced is psychedelic.
If you live in the now, you are experiencing something psychedelic, since that point in time, will only exist once and is always different.
Or, I might be wrong.
