i wonder how do you prefer the compilation u buy/burn ,noo noo noo :).
do you like it to be homogenic (all the tracks in a certain style), or do prefer compilations that give u a little bit from every thing....
i personaly prefer the second type ,because in a copilation that contain several styles there is more chance of hearing good tracks (think about it) . |

I prefer the second, becuase then you actually notice a difference between the tracks, and it's nice to hear more than one style over 70-80 minutes when you're sitting back home. |

i know probably most of the people here will choose the second option.. but i will go with the first one. if i buy a compilation it is because i am interested in a certain style and i want the differences to be between the artists style of the same minimal, tech trance :-) not the trance style. and besides, because cd's that you want are expensive it is better not to waist your money on full on if you dont like etc.. bom |

i second about the first one. same style, only bpm changhe (start slow, get up and finish ambient).
but i still prefer solo albums - only there artist can explain full view on electronic music. |

Hmmm... i think... when its mixed... it should b homogenic but if its full tracks... it should b a little bit from every thing... but not 2 much... for ex: a quirk track and right after it an astral projection track... it wont feel right
Emm... i think u know what i think of :) |

i choose option 3... i compile my own cd's, this way i get the ultimate freedom of choise i take 2-3 cd's and take only what i like, i choose the style, the order and all the rest the way it works best for me . it takes time but it's worth it . |

leon's option is the best, as for when i buy compilations..hmm..i like a similar style but still diverse enough to make me jump. best example is Firewire compiled by Chakra - what a cd! |

Just put some tracks in there, make the tracks good, and I'm happy.
But if to be more specific, I prefer a compilation with tracks that share the same style, but not too much. Let's say I want a full on compilation - full on has many styles in it. |
