im truly fed up of all the Hypocrisy in the indian section and all the talk talk but no one actually willing to walk the damn walk!
underground? really now!
aur kuch?
what does underground meant to you?--- not putting info up on the various sites? keeping it hush hush, sending msgs via sms to each other abt parties?
do u think the scene will be saved then?
please let me know how......

commercial parties are not gatecrashed by guys in khaki.
The problem is substance usage or rather substance abuse, not the music.
If Pac-Man affected us as kids,we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music .. |

Well after reading all the comments that people have made all i have to say is that the underground is dead in India.
I am not complaining about it or pointing fingers but a lot of things have collectively led to the death of the underground which i wont touch upon now.
My suggestion to those who crave a 'underground' outdoor party is to gather a bunch of friends the more the better, find a farm / outdoor far from civilisation (in a desolate place), get you speakers (rent), a genset, drinks and of course music. If you cant get a professional DJ (hate that word) find someone who plays for the love of the music and the love of the scene.
DAnce it out in the wild...unrestrained and unrestricted. I have organised such a party with my friends recently. Was really amazing. For me you dont need a floor full of freaks. You just need a bunch of happy people who are there because the love the whole experience not those who are there because they think its rebellious / hip.
FInd your own people and add the same type as you go along. Grow your community. The problem with something to big is that it attracts attention from the wrong set of people.
Five years back Mumbai had a very killer outdoor scene....but for reasons which i dont want to get in we are where we are today...Astrix in a 5 star? wtf is that?

I've always believed that the best parties in this part of the world have been rather small and yet very psychedelic.
I blame commerce for it fu##!ing it up most of the time

I reckon a lot of the underground elements tried comercialising the culture and in turn effed the scene up! Now we have Astrix in 5 star and infected at palace grounds and XSI at hilltop!
Just need to find one's vibe.. Its 2008!
