Commercial trance that has a psytrancy feeling?

Every once in a while I listen to a commercial DJ set and hear one or other track that I'd consider would fit perfectly into a psytrance set. IMO it's always been a shame to keep the 2 styles so seprated when at the end of the day it's all trance music anyway.

So anyway, this is my find of the day, it reminded me some israeli oldschool catchy tunes like Yahel and Luminus:

Any other recomendations?

Much trance from 97-2003 has the psytrance-style bassline

Also, just because it isn't psytrance, doesn't make it automatically commercial There is lots of good underground trance trance as well

There is also a track which is not on youtube called "Reverse Psychology" by simon qudos which is a hard trance/NRG track that uses a lot of psytrance sounds.

Not commercial at all but this kind of music continued the Psychedelic vibe that was lost in the post 150BPM shuffle

This could easily be a psy trance tune back from the good old days.

Very psychedelic in my humble opinion, some like it hard heh.

Another great one.

My all time favorite trance track which i also find very trippy.

A massive tune that reminds me Power Source tracks from 2:50 and after plus an amazing hupnotic melody on 04:15. Absolutely classic track.

The new apocalypse in dance music (well not so new but he is getting famous now), a lot of psy trance elements in the melodies, i just love this track.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Older Paul Van Dyk and BT definitely have this feel; especially compared to the full-on. They usually had lots of scratchy acid lines, zippy build ups and drops, drum rolls, etc.; along with heavy saw wave basslines. Though I will say that I feel that today's Full-On artists have taken this older music called "trance" and improved upon it greatly.

Some specific modern examples would be DJ Orkidea though...

He has lots more too, some that sound more "psy" than others.

You also find Christopher Lawrence, Nicholas Bennison, as well as John OO Fleming (and in turn Digital Blonde) producing trance that sits on the line between trance and psytrance... maybe something close to a "new goa" sound. The basslines are lighter than psy, closer to goa.

Even a few tracks by Gareth Emery have "psy like" sounds and basslines to them.

Sean Tyas and Simon Patterson are also making/playing faster trance these days. It sounds like they listen to Full-On for influence.

Maybe something else to point out would be many of the Psytrance artists now with side projects, and producing music in the realm of "club trance" and "techno" among other genres. Some of the latest music by Last Men Standing is actually higher bpm clubby tech trance (not psy), but it still has a tinge of their original style. You're also seeing people such as GMS crossing this line, and making music that could honestly fit into either category.

I feel that right now, the "trance music" is all coming together in a way. The progressive trance that has reigned supreme in the clubs all these years is getting slower and slower, topping out 132-134bpm these days. In turn, the faster progressive and Full-On trance really has an opportunity to step in and become the new "peak energy trance," instead of being disregarded as a side genre of trance (as psytrance usually is).
