Hey dude, ok I will help you, first I wanna congratulate you making this bassline and this track.

It's nice but it needs more concentrated signal but I don't wanna confuse you with fancy talking.

Always remember that a Good Kick makes the foundation for a good bassline

I need to know what kind of a bassline you want to achieve and I also strongly advice you to become a member of "psy producers forum" on facebook, it's an active group and some big boys there are giving straight on point directions made in order for bass line and all the rest...

My advice to you for a bassline is to use modern plugs and vsti's but don't forget that there are many pretty cool old plugs as well that can still be put into practice with the right cuts and inserts in order they can make a miracle..I used to use Cronox2, V-station, sylenth, vb-1 and Trilogy, now the Trilogy source is very good, you just pick the saw waveform and turn on the filter and go from there.
Dune and Dune2 are pretty awesome, you have Spectral Vst now and it's good, try also using PowerSynth from Melda, good basslines can be achieved there, Today I use Spectrasonics Trillian and Omnisphere, maybe audioline sometimes or tb303, I can tell you where you can get them for free, depends of how much memory you have and what kind of a machine I can refer several other tools, but I already told you the big ones

the inserts in order from up to down are:

Distortion I use Saturn Fabfilter, but I also Like to use Quadrafuzz default old plug instead from Cubase (just a little bit to warm it up)

EQ, I use DMG or FabFilter eq its softer ( cuts on the right spots can do great things, the basic israeli school is around 200hz, 500hz and 2000hz)

Compression pro C from fabfilter is great but you can try new generations of plugs as well, Eventide got some pretty solid tools

then another EQ (this is dangerous and another eq you can put depending of what you wanna achieve and what kind of a mix, try transX multi from waves

and that's it, less is always more and better, you just concentrate on hearing those little clicks while you mold and remember that very small differences make the big production, for example small cuts on the right place makes all the difference, it goes the same for every element.

P.S always give your best effort always give your maximum in order to progress, stay for 6 months only on kick and bass if you have to if you want the best results, and after that little by little day after day you will make better production for a faster time on every element on every next track. And never forget the creation is in the mix, how you mix will directly influence your creative part.. less is more, make mix on very quiet and make arrangement and production on very loud

Dear Numenor, Thank You kindly for you advice above.. I really love cronx2 i never had $ to buy so i try use freeware plugins only as for my morals, MMM i have a v2 of cronx and i even made a skin for it hehehehe I guess i could use it??

Ok for me i was under the impression this songs bass line was good , Not the average Rolling bassline though, i think it fits well....A dear friend of mine said it sounds muddy?? So i posted a link here to get some extra ears in for reference...

I think i could open the filter a little more as that's normally the first thing to do with mudy basslines...

#A
I would like it to roll a little more and be a little tighter ?? I will use cronx2 and see if i get a better result and i will post back ASAP.

I am already a member of the Facebook forum

#Q
Is the Kick and bass so bad that it really needs to change??

Maybe i can add a mid/hi bass layer??

Ok i will be back hopefully by the end of the day...
