This poem was nominated by UN as the best poem of 2006.
Written by an African Kid
When I born, I black.
When I grow up, I black.
When I go in Sun, I black.
When I scared, I black.
When I sick, I black.
And when I die, I still black.
And you white fellow
When you born, you pink.
When you grow up, you white.
When you go in sun, you red.
When you cold, you blue.
When you scared, you pale.
When you jealous, you green.
And when you die, you gray.
And you calling me colored??
Studies indicate that listening to music is good for digestion. |

I heard these words when I was attending school in the 90's, their dead old. But non the less, a great poem Very funny and humoures. I don't know if it's originaly from Ice-T, but I remember hearing these words in a old movie or something. Maybe a Ice-T movie for all I know lol.
Found this on google: This touching little poem, reportedly written by an African child was nominated for the Best Poem in 2005.
Someone should tell that jury this kid is stealing old material.
