Ganesha
the indian elephant godhead,son of Lord Shiva and Mother Shackty..
Once up on the time Shackty was making her bath,she put Ganesha on the gate of their home for a guardian,and said to not let anynone to get in house as she is doing her bath.
When lord Shiva arived home Ganesha didnt let him pass the as his mother said,then Shiva get ungry and cut the head of ganesha,then he realised how bad he acted,he saw an elephanty close there,cut the head of the elephant and put on Ganesha..

did you know that 'malana' in north india, in the mountains, is full of greek descendants. theres not a single indian or forien resident there. the greeks there dont touch or talk much to people from outside their community...

yep. theyr not really yogis. but they ve had generations of greeks living there for years n years. I havent been to the place, buit of what ive heard.. they dont even copulate with people outside their community.
Im not too sure if theyre spiritual, the israely tourists sure are. and oh yes.. 'malana' produces one of the best known hash in the world. pure and full of love

@Forest dreams >> Buddy that malana theory is true to a certain degree historically since it is believed that when Alexender the great came to india few of his men left him and stayed back to form this village "malana" they are ancestors of Alexander the great but why are they worshipping "jablu" devta when the local god has got nothing to do with greek's or their god's.
But the irony is that i have been to malana and none of the villager's have a clue as to who Alexander is  probably they haven't been told by their father's and grandfather's about the history of the village who knows one thing is true that they have a very different language and a greek accent to it even the locals dont understand their lingo.
Coming to not being with men from "outside" since the fame of malana going stronger and stroger in this country there have been cases in which women of malana have been married to men from kullu region although men are not allowed to do the same. They are bending the rules allright to survive in this "new" world.
Its a interesting village for sure maybe next time you , i and sure_smoke_alot can investigate deeper after we smoke their fame.

bro jamula is the god of the malana ppl. and it is said that he cud destroy ne village coz he had too much power (maybe the warriors os alxedra had to fight the locals for a place bak then) and that's the reason in the whole kullu valley he's both feared and respected the most
y they dont worship greek gods hmmm..
imagine a group of us come thousands of kilometers for war & greed swaying war everyday on the way, u reach 'Himalyas' (ur awestruck by the beauty of the place the absoulte subtleness and that spl. sumthing everyone of us has fealt wen we r there it cannot be written it can only be experienced)
u run away from ur king (ur society) and start living in a totally new & diff place will u worship the same gods or have the same social structure which u jus left
and time too my friend is a big teacher or sud i say the greatest teacher of all
so who know wot exactly happ. in the course of hundreds of years they have been here we can jus assume
but as u said if we go there with the malana gold n talk bout thier folklore maybe we can imagine thier history with more presicion the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!! |
