When I produce music I find myself writing out the chords in a certain key over and over. So I spent a good deal of time and made a library of Midi Chords separated by the key they are in. So Basically now when you are in ableton you can just drag and drop the chords you want making it supper easy and fast to build a harmony.

I also have a live set as apart of this that lays out all the chords by the key they are in. It also uses my color wheel for ableton clips using the circle of fifths.

This tool will save you a lot of time in production. It's a free download, just join the newsletter, and start playing. Check it out:

Wow! Ive been looking for this exact thing for the past few days! I want to be able to actually know what Im doing when making arpeggio patterns, mainly, but of course it applies to all mooz zikk

Thanks! Its funny, not in a 'haha' way, how many ppl put price tags on such knowledge, the internet is full of people selling MIDI and Live packs... Im always looking for Ableton resources that don't cost anything, I personally disagree with teh whole idea of charging money to share knowledge (check the FTP link in my sig for samples, loops, and pdfs all free, most public domain, all royalty free, when I get enough good MIDI there will be a new section too )

but of course, my site's simple FTP hosted by my buddy in A'dam who has unlimited space, if i had a real site Im sure Id at least be attempting to cover the overhead           .

I know what you mean mudpeople. I am trying to figure that part out as well. I just added a donate button to things and I will probably just go that route.

So basically I spend about 30 hours a week working on music. Making new instruments, making music, and research. I started writing the articles and sharing what I create online to help other people. It actually makes me organize things and be a better producer as well.

That being said there is a lot of time involved and work. Trying to balance it all... Yeah knowledge should be shared, and supported.

If you make any music with these tools I would love to see a link as well!

Thanks Ya'll

Thanks for the work.

You could instead just have loaded this Ableton project to save all that time

http://www.vstcafe.com/2010/02/tonys-chords-session-file-for-ableton.html

it contains all the usual chords+scales and you can just drag&drop them into your projects....very handy!           My first track:
