You're kidding, or English isn't your first language.
Collab is short for collaboration, which means a cooperative effort between 2 or more people on one thing. In this case, a song.
Cubase supports it as far as compressing your project folder and sending it to someone else and assuming they have the same plugins.
It's only useful if you like working that way and the other perople are helpful. Personally I think its a bit slow going, but it can be done. Best to invite them over and have an all nighter with a comfy studio sofa.

i think he meant the FL studio prog .. ``Collab is a program designed to allow users worldwide to work on a same project`` .. haven't used it , no idea how it works or if it works with cubase at all ..but why not do it manually ? send the cpr and the audio parts as a rar or whatever and make a collab ..

I've never heard of it, sorry if my response seemed facetious. |

i heard about a collab aplication that was in FL 5.0 (don't really remember the FL version) and that aplication was intended to make tracks over internet on the fly...
i don't know more about it...cos i don't use FL...and never tried it. but by what i know, you'll need a working serial/registration at propellerheads i suppose.
PS - i think that collab thingie is FL only. but not sure.

I know it works so the two computer software can connect thru it on the internet. I even think that the vst problem is not a problem with it, it might also transfer them, or maybe just convert it to audio but with the capability of putting it back to midi.
It appears with fl 5 and so on.. and you need an www.flstudio.com account, so no piracy..
Just didn't know if it worked in cubase. I like fl because of it's freedom for creativity. It's extremely easy to put your thoughts into the computer and make it play what your are hearing in your head. Than I use acid to make the track (re-doing what I did in flp, or just exporting to audio..)
but recently i'm trying to make a track with a friend on the web and he uses cubase sx 3. I had cubase sx 1, got the 3 version, installed but it crashes on loading and I don't know why..
Well, if collab would be able to do collaboration between flp or acid with cubase, our problem would be solved.
