The Yak&Yeti/Club Sessions series returns with some of Australia's freshest psychedelic talent hosted in a venue new to the psy scene - Candy's Apartment. More details will be posted soon.
Sensient is 23 year old Tim Larner from Melbourne, Australia. His early days in the scene were spent in the rainforests of Byron Bay, soaking up the vibe and inspirations of such a place. Then in time he purchased his first computer and immedieately began to explore the possibilties of sound creation. Since then he has progressed far, and developed his own unique style of deep, groovy, proggressive psy. Atmosphere plays a major part in his music, and the groove factor is equally important. He tries to create space in which the listener is free to explore his music in their own way and interpretation...nothing is rammed down the listeners throat. Now in 2003, Sensient is releasing on such quality labels as Z.M.A and Flow Records as well as securing a multiple album deal with one of Europes' leading labels, Tatsu Recordings. Along with this, he has started his own label...Zenon Records, which will be Australias first quality progressive psy label, releasing fresh music from Australia and around the globe.
Drooid (a.k.a Sun Control Species) is 23 years old, from the north coast of Australia and has been writing psy for a quarter of his life. Released on international labels such as ZMA, MANTRA Records with quality releases on the aussie labels Edgecore and nine09 records. The music of SCS is often border-crossing the usual rifts between progressive trance and more action packed trance that is strong with psychedelic sounds. His music is for the mind as well as the feet and creates an uplifting yet intense experience. His debut album is due out Mid 2003 on ZMA records and will firmly establish his presence in the global trance scene.
Extra sound re-inforcement and complete venue transformation will create a psychedelic space to experience some of the freshest Australian made psy and latest cutting edge sounds from the rest of the world.
