Hi there all!

I searched the forums, but didn't found anything that really gave me some answer to my current problem.

I got a sort of basic problem here. I run SX2 and I use Battery as the sampler were I play with my kick. Everything works fine, compressing, whatever, there's no problem what so ever.

The tricky part comes when I'm beginning to do many kicks in a row. I can do three kicks in a row (for example in 1/32) without spacing, no problems. Sounds fine. I can do two (in 1/16) with a 1/16 space, making it a double beat sort of. It works fine.

But when I do more than those mentioned (three 1/32 in a row, no spaces+ / two 1/16 with one 1/16 spacing+) - some of my kicks begin to click. Some kicks does not click (as I've tried out a wide arsenal), but the majority does I'm afraid. I think it's weird anyhow that it begins to click since I can perform those earlier mentioned without any problem.

If I work with the same kicks in Reason for example, using the sampler there in the same way as I do with Battery in SX2, I don't get any clicks.

There's no problem with my soundcard (24/96) or anything else. Everything works fine except this, and I don't have a clue how to solve this.

Can anyone help me out on this one? Thanks in advance!

(no I'm not a pro )

I don´t know very well how Battery works... But maybe when u try to do it, Battery doesn´t change the "end of the sample", just stop the sound... So if at this time, the kick is not on "zero db", u will hear a click.

To do this trick just make the sequence of kicks as audio track, and don´t forget to check the sample, and if u need make a "fade out" process.

I know I had a lot of problems in Battery with clicks, especially with rolls on the kick drum just like you are describing.

Battery 2 seems to be click free!

well battery 2 is click free , and as SMS said .... i tried the same , making the kick roll with audio samples and could hear the clicks ... then i did some fade out on the kik sample and then i made kik roll in 1/64th grid and no clicks @ all ...

so maybe try to make ur kik roll in battery 2 or audio trk with fade out on the kik sample ...

Same here.... Battery 2 does not give me a problem whereas Battery 1 could not handle 16th and above rolls. It may have to do with the "tails" of the sample. In Battery 2, you can designate how many "tails" are allowed to trail as the sample plays. I wouldn't think twice about upgrading - it's a much more flexible version with an improved library.

Das just my opinion.....
