i only know one way - if you save the project in a new folder(via File/.....), cubase ask's you, if you want all files or only the files in use in the new folder!
hm, maybe there is a other way |

I think you can manualy remove them .
Press Ctrl P , open the audio folder , and manually delete the ones your are not using .

This is the cleanest and most effective way to do it. There is also a "removed unused media" command but the above command works so well (we begged for it in VST and finally got it in SX) that I forget exactly how to do it...dont worry, "Save to new folder" is reliable, just make sure that everything you need is still in the project window, else it will not be copied to the new folder. Once you have the new folder, you can delete the old one. Just make sure that if you have any .cpr files other than the current one you want to keep, that you move them MANUALLY because the function only copies the current project file.
The part I can't recall is whether or not Save to New Folder includes or excludes muted midi parts in the project window, someone can jump in on that |

if you want to save the project to new folder,
you need, in the pool, to do "prepare archive" .
that way all the files will be copied to the track`s folder.
to erase files you simply do "erase unused media"

Press <ctrl>-p to get to the pool. Right-click and select "Remove unused media". You then get a choice of actions: if you want to keep the files on your hard disk but remove references to them from the project, click "Remove from pool"; if you want to delete them from the hard disk too, select "Send to trash", then right-click again and select "Empty trash". You'll get another choice; you can either clear them from the pool or erase them from the hard disk.
I'm not in the studio right now so some of these quotes from Cubase might be inaccurate, but I'm sure you'll work it out!
