cleaning hardware??

how do you guys clean up?things like consoles,synths or midi keyboards,the pc tower....
i use to take my pc to the nearest gas station and clean it up with the air pistol,but i was told that there is a thing like wetness filter ,and if the air pistol doesnt have one,may damage the pc hardware
so any ideas,tips or techniques would be wellcome

how about the cans of compessed they sell for cleanign your pc keyboard

blowing air is nice,
but for better cleaning just use alcohol and a napkin.

At the moment im cleaning my mixer. I use cotton sticks to clean between all the knobs wich are placed rather close toghether. Ive also taken all the knob off actually wich makes it alot easier.
And one other thing. Ive always got cloth covering my hardware when i dont use it. |

Hi,
you supposed to AVOID alcohol since it has the possebility to damage the surface of your gear. Instead use a brush with soft bristles, and for any other dirt try it with water or simply aspirate on the the dirt to solve it. In most cases you will have success. Microfibre wipes do the job as well.

ok ,i got a trickier one...my iguana took a pee on my midi keyboard and now 2 keys are out of function..if i spill some 100%clean alcohool,which is completely evaporatable,do u think i might destroy something?

yes. alchahol coducts electricity as well as water does. you are liable to short out the whole thing.
try using q-tips (earcleaners) dipped in alchahol and be patient and thorou

no man vacum cleaner is the best way and before u do it take a paiters brush not to wide but no to small and brush everything with it gently after u removed all the dust , vacum it ... |

of course do not plug it in untill it's dry and ready
I used alcohol for everything - shiny, clean - working like charm...
You can find many things though.
