chord building ? 1th 3th 5th note of the scale....
then next chord u go down one seminote from the 3th of the scale...
then next chord u go down one seminote from the 3th and 5th note of the scale...
then u can move the formula to any of the notes from the scale...
i believe there are others formula to build chords but with those 3 u can already have fun...
its lot easier to practice chords playin the keyboard piano instead of piano roll.. so u can get the feeling of the rythim so u ll trigger the chords in clean and smooth way....

Well, say the chords he is using are comprised of three notes
The pad sound that I think you're thinking about has a relatively fast attack as you hear the keys change pretty quickly but the whole sound doesn't drop out..
possibly there is a couple seconds of release on the patchs amp envelope and enough voices to handle the 3 original notes release stage and the 3 new notes of the chord changing
I could be totally off though.

what will says... and the source of the sound ( oscilator ) i would try triangle wave but if this s not enough, i d add a sawtooth in a second osclator and lowpass it with careful just to complement the triangle...
but im learnin just like u , so it would be my point of trial...

This song could be a lot better, I don't think there are really nice progressions in there and it is actually booring until it gets to about 4min.
If you listen to vivaldi, bach, chopin, beethoven, mozart that's where you can find really interesting things going on and perhaps some inspiration for your music.
Anyway I think I know what you mean...
Have you heard of common chord progressions?
It helps.

no no, not at all.
I only mention them because they are a great source of inspiration and we can benefit a lot more from theyre music than from electrypnose, In resume what I meant was listen to them great composers because we new age producers are also composing music right?

I dont think u got my question down........
When you make a C to Am chord change on ur piano roll the chang is noticeable..the synth "restarts" what u told it to do making the change noticable....here it is so smooth...and yea i luv classical music btw
