freelow: 633 EUR for keyboard is pretty good price i think ;-) i don't know what are prices in your homecountry, but here in slovakia and close countries is 400-450 EUR good price for RACK2... new NR2x at thomann.de (what is one of the best online shops in this region) is priced at 755 EUR and keyboard NL2x at 1039EUR !!
but i must suggest for psytrance old NR2 more than new NR2x .. new NR2x have "better" D/As (24bit/96khz) but what is paradox is, that thanks to these better D/As is sound not so "raw" and "aggresive" - and i think exactly this rawness and aggresivity is that what we, psytrancers, love i tested NR2x and then i decided that NR2 is definitely better choice for me, for my psy tunezz

the nord rack 1 is one of the best hardware that i got,if not the BEST..... 
like it more then the virus.... just grab it of you can.

I got my hands on it finally. I must say that it has a great sound, very punchy and cutting through the mix. The programming is very direct (95% of the functions have direct access thru knobs and switches). I confirm that some sounds are definitly in the same field as VST plugins, but many sounds are much better sounding. It really has a special sound. I'm surprised because there is a limited amount of sources and modulation but the sound possibilities are quite wide. Thanks to the FM section, it's great to create special FXs. I still like my Virus powercore more than the NordRack, but they both are great synths and the complement each other very well. |

if you could strech for the Keyboard vesrion - go for it ! always nicer to play, workflow is better & it looks much better .. play in seconds ..
i personaly prefer the Nord 1 sound, for some reason it sounded slightly better then vesrion 2, 3 is cold !! but both 1 & 2 are kickass .. definitly unique in synthesizer world ..
