Everyone gets high on familiar melodies and would like to see a psytrance artist pick them up in a remix. This could be from any genre. Maybe it doesnt have to be a remix, but a short featuring of the melody.

Let me start with 2:

Nostalgia is a powerful weapon.

Please go for it bro Youd make me very happy!

i´ve also heard some gay tiesto rmx of pirates but is was somewhat feeble and needs to be more rough and psychedeliful, like a pirate on mushroom grog

I have yet to hear something that came from classical music that was implemented in a nice way in trance tunes.

I am open to it tho...something that will do that nice... that psykovsky clip is not doing it for me.

When its small samples of orchestras doing simple stuff ala The Delta, I really like it. As soon as it goes into proper melodies (GMS - Requiem For A Dream) its putting me off big time.

Peace out.

ya know, i kinda feel you on that, psykovsky is a wildly talented fellow and makes technically great music, but i haven't thought "hey, i want to listen to psykovsky" for almost 3 years now…..

weird that i never even think about him when i'm doing darker stuff….

and i think the monkey island thing will be a great little piece to confuse people. just the little island breakdown part tho.           Doof Local

It's uplifting/eurotrance rather than psy, but William Orbit's reworking of Barber's Adagio for Strings was fairly masterful and works very well within the genre.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

I can't help but hear psytrance doing anything but dumbing down a classical piece, sorry to say.
Nothing more grating on the audio nerves than a dumbed down piece of music, especially classical.
Remember this? Barely tolerable as a novely

But of course I'd love to be shown otherwise. Bring it

If we insist finding good classical covers than this might apply:

You just mentioned William Orbit on the same page as Psykovsky. I think we have rules against this kind of behavior.

True, but its far from a psy-trance track. It works well for that euro-trance (albeit very good in Addagio's case), it works great in trip hop, but I don't like it in trance.

Peace out.
