nice tips, thanks...

i would really love to read more about it, one of things i m having difficult to process is my snare..

also about the placement, it always makes my pattern feels slower, and if i offset it to trigger just few time before kick, it just dont sound right for me!           ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

Any musitions use 2 samples for each shnare or combine clap & snare with eq, low frequency from shnare and high from clap.

I find a clap that i like, modify the duration, add a little distortion. I try not to use any compression so i set the volume by ear.

I prefer finger snaps to claps. But you can't beat a good low down hard snare. I'm not to into airy snares though.

eq and compression is a must. distortion also make the snare\clap to be more snappy and try also vintage warmer on it.
