LABEL : HADSHOT HAHEIZAR
ARTIST : CHRIS CARGO
TITLE : feel
FORMAT : 12"
RELEASE : 08.09.04
CAT no`: HADSH067

Continuing a highly successful 2004 release schedule, which has seen several acclaimed CD releases as well as a 12" release landing on the coveted Balance Record Pool chart, Hadshot Haheizar is proud to present their second vinyl release of 2004 – a tribal bomb from Ireland’s top progressive export, Chris Cargo.

Over the last decade, Chris Cargo is a name which has become synonymous with top-quality tribal grooves. Whether it be as a globetrotting DJ or in-demand producer & remixer, there is no questioning the fact that Chris has the know-how and tools to get any dancefloor moving. Beginning his career in his hometown of Belfast, Ireland in the mid-90s (where he was voted Ireland’s best up & coming DJ by BBM), Chris has since traveled the world many times over, playing at some of the most elite clubs and festivals in the world. On the production side, Chris has had huge success over the last 5 years with releases on labels such as Choo Choo, Play Recordings, Little Fluffy Records, Red n Saw Records, and Immersed Vinyl. Also in high-demand as a remixer, Chris has remixed the likes of Tim Healey, Nugen, Minilogue, Graeme L., and Source of Gravity, with his remixes appearing on countless top labels (Automatic Records, Source of Gravity Records, Release Records, ACDC, Feed Me, and many others). Constant support for his tracks from other top names in the industry including Danny Howells, Danny Tenaglia, Satoshi Tomiie, Anthony Pappa and Seb Fontaine prove that Chris Cargo is a world-class producer whose work should not be ignored.

"Feel" is a smooth yet eerie tribal house piece which shows Chris pulling out all his tricks to do what he does best. A butt-shaking percussive groove acts as the backbone through which bells, buzzing and sparse guttural chants mesh seamlessly to set a mysterious mood. Hypnotic, dubby chords combine with a heavy resonant bassline to make this track perfect for those deeper moments of the night when the dancefloor still demands hot tribal intensity.

"Watts a Funkin (Original)" adds a little bit of funk to the platter – subtle percussion and a deep throbbing bassline drive the track through to the breakdown, complete with a killer breakbeat and surprise sample. Perfect for pumping a bit of spice to the night, "Watts a Funkin" will undoubtedly rock the dancefloor with its cool quirky groove.
