Hey LSG!

Yeah.. i often use chorus on my bass, and delay..

it gives the bass much more dynamic...

but dont know if its good in psytrance or full on... but i love the effect in minimal and progressive music..

but realy its a matter of taste.. experment with it.. you might like it..

ps. great transitions pack on your website!
more of them! good job

take care bro

hey liquidspace!
putting abit of chorus on a bass is a sometimes a good idea, and pumps up the bass alittle,
but putting chorus on the bass drum or kick...i dont think its going to give you
good results, you would like the kick to be
percise, on the spot, whyle chorus, is actualy an lfo controling the length of a delay back and forth, a thing that will make
your kick sound...not very on the spot...

especially if it's an analogue flanger like the electric mistress

I wouldn't use chorus... I'd make 2 more mono-tracks that are copies of your basstrack and pan them extreme left and right, with the main mono in the middle... fuck around with the panning and volume until u get your favorite result... but this doesn't always give favorable results...

same thing here .....
adding chorus to a kick puts delays between the right and left channel ....
works ok with basslines but with small amount (to my taste of course)           Love and Light.

i make my basses very dry.
chorus kinda spread the bass and loses punch.
delay on bass is a big NO for me but ive seen it work.

I guess theres always different aproches to build sound.

Yes testing is always good

But i myself don't like stereo effects on my bass. Coz of phasing it looses its power and clearness. But some kinds of bass maybe profit from a little little bit of chorus. As said just try and u will hear if u like it
