Any idea how these are made? Hallucinogen is really the only person i've heard whose used them well.
I'm talking about the sort of chopped up drumming/percussive sounds used at the start of Younger Brother - Scanner and also in Metal Sharon - Balloon dance (if you check the sample at saikosounds the sound i'm talking about enters at about 2:44)
So how's it done? Distortion? MidiGates? Pitch-bending? I'm at a loss, and it's an awesome effect.
