The review:

Well, I've finally listened to it in full. And if you want to be chilling by the pool this summer, this is definately an album to look out for. Going past the regular chill-formula in psytrance, with those ethnic influences, this album goes straight for the sunny beach, balaeric influences. Straight from track 1 the guitar and the relaxed vibe gets to you and doesn't let up until the final track of this album flows off in the distance. It's just great stuff, really. Someone once said that the sounds Denis uses never seem out of place. Almost as if all the sounds just fit in where they belong. I concur with that completely. Anyway, there really isn't anything more to be said. If you like your chilling to be a bit different but still really relaxed and without all those ethnic chants that seem to be all the rage at the moment, then you should really check this out. Oh, and while you're at it, score the releases on the Chillcode label as well, the Chilling Matenda album before this one and the Galaxy one. Great stuff!! Denis, I hope you keep this up. Excellent work.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Mediteran from Denis Matenda ?

In summertime, it’s end of afternoon, the beach, the sea, the sun and you. The sun isn’t burning anymore, his beams are just tickling your body. Little by little the beach results deserted and the sand is now lukewarm while the sea withdraws.
You, lying down the sand, face up to the sky and eyes closed whereas the sweet wind caresses your face, are listening to the soundtrack of your inner mental trip…

That’s it.

This was reviewed a while back over on the Chillout section of the forum and it's an excellent album! Denis's best to date imo.

Keep up the great work, mate!           Am i the only one who believes in solipsism?

very nice album , less psychedelic then chillum 4 but anyway very good and pleasant to listen           " And as the gods have given us , so we return the gift " - Bill Cosmosis " Gift of the Gods "
" That's right - otherworld lifeforms . A fucking alien ! "

Great Album, the kind of album you want to listen when you are on your room, tired from all your stressed up day and you have a 1 hour trip to a nice quiet place.

Ohm, and aliened I respect your opinion but I think that you're missunderstanding the meaning of psychedelic.
Because as far as I know psychedelic doesn't mean that tracks must have twisted sounds, synthesizers and PC plugins.

Music is a tool to make your own trip...

Yup, great work here. But I have to say if you already own the Chilling Matenda that was released on Chillcode (like I do), then this is a lot like that one, only less 'deep'. This one is a bit lighter and maybe a little easier accessible. Anyway, owners of the Chillcode release should listen to this extensively online to see if this is their kind of stuff.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Glad that all of you like it, but I don´t understand why you (aliened) compare this album with the compilation chillum 4. Yes its probably less psycedelic then chillum 4 (Havent heard this one), and it´s less full-on then most of the albums released these days and so on... "Depends what you compare it to". The most important is that most of you and the reviewers like it, either it´s less or more psycedelic, what happen to "open your mind".           www.globalphonehead.com

Damn right...

Psychedelic, not or whatever..... this album is pure bliss, and nothing else matters

Thanks for the support and a great review Mattski(Revolver magazine).

A interview of Denis Matenda has been done by Damion (www.psyreviews.com).

Questions about the album "Mediteran" is in focus.
