Weird. I dont think I do anything wrong at all. Also you can't submit the label without adding the security code
I'll send you the label info tomorrow.

Re the website.
I find it hard to read the light grey text on top of the white background. I have to lean in toward my screen to read it properly - or select all the text so that it appears a tiny bit darker. Makes it hard to read the reviews.
I can read the comments under the reviews fine tho.
(Just my 2 cents. Obviously not many other people are having the same problem as they haven't stated it...) |

I don't get it... where do you see white background??
Background is black.

Ohh, you were referring to input box of comments..? i've changed txt to black now. Sorry, haven't quite understood what you were saying as you've said "Makes it hard to read the reviews". |

I have added myself and put up some images of 3D fractal flames - the images are single frames from high resolution video loops I have recently completed
Currently uploading a couple of old school style chillout mixes as well |

Sorry, my fault. It was the background of the screen in general i was referring to, not the input boxes. But it appears that it must be my old internet explorer at work that is causing the problem.
It works fine on my computer at home. I'll just have to access it from here.
Thanks! Looks good! |

Great site with great content.
Was thinking it would be a good idea to maybe do a monthly top 10 albums voted by subscribers and maybe the same for top 10 tracks?
Just a thought |

I have to be honest and say I have my doubts about the portal.
To me it seem it's a site favorising psychill when you look at the highlights, interviews ect.
If you truely want to be a diverse chill/downbeat/ambient portal you seriously have to be more diverse. If not be honest and tell people so they know what to expect.
I know it's a very new portal and you deserve the benefit of the doubt but so far I am not that impressed from a personal reference in taste of course.
I think it would suit your portal that you guys also let other than the psychill "stars" from istrance share the spotlight.
My 2 cents and it's not to put you down. I just think there's room for improvement.

@shakta that's a great idea
@beat agency, who would you like to see more of. There's only a couple of us working on building the artist database and that only happens one artist at a time. I assure you, you will see all the classic ambient artists there too, but who specifically would you like to see?

We're not favorising psychill at all. We need to start off from somewhere so we're starting with psychill and will move on when we close that chapter. One thing i find important to mention is that we only got feedback from artists who are under the spotlight for now.
Also, as iTranscendence said, unfortunately only 3 of us are working on the database of artists, labels and releases.. 2 actually, as i rarely have time to add anything. I would also like to have biosphere, pete namlook, thievery corp, bonobo etc under the spotlight but at this point i can't really focus on finding new materials, people to work with, because trust me buddy, i have a shitload of work.
I know you probably don't give a damn, but i haven't properly slept for a month or two!
I agree with you.. there's a ton of room for improvement, but to be quick as you expect you need a team of 20 people (who are acutally doing something).
And as i've said.. we're open 24/7, feel free to drop me a mail at info|at|chillbase.org with your recommendations, wishes etc.
@shakta really great idea indeed. will come up with something soon! |

It's not a matter of who I like to see there as there are tons of namnes within various subgenres. I am not specific talking about the artist datatbase but more in the context of you guys also using time on interviews, contests etc. outside the psychill genre. Otherwise your portal wiil fast be known as yet another psychill place. And that would really be a shame.
My point was and is that I feel your content is the same old same as seen here on istratrance and other psychill places too.
But as mentioned you are a new site and of course I will wait and see how it evolve. And here I am talking in terms as a possible label buying some promotion spots. As for now I would not be interested. But let's see how things progress
