CHILLBASE.ORG - GLOBAL CHILLOUT COMMUNITY
_____________________________________________

Every once in a while we all need to take some time to slow down a bit, to look around, become aware, enjoy the moment and simply be. So, we dedicate this portal to all lovers of the chill mood, gatherings and sound vibrations.

For a long time there was an idea of a portal like this and finally in the summer of 2009, when two like-minded people met, it became clear that the time for the realization has come. Although the portal is mainly musically oriented, our goal is to join all the activities regarding the chill culture.

You will find all necessary things in one place... labels, artists, releases, interviews, reviews, interesting articles and much much more..

The portal is still in its beta phase though, meaning we are still working on it as the idea is to build it supplementary with your comments with the goal of creating the community to suit us all.
All your ideas/wishes/requests are more than welcome!

We personally started to fill in Chillbase databases (artists and labels) ourselves but would like to invite you all to get involved and contribute to it!
Also, upload your DJ sets, add your events, submit your reviews..
We're looking forward to meet you!

You need forums, though the guerrilla news network format is interesting for spreading news of new albums.           blip.fm/itranscendence

Well guys, to be honest.. from my expirience.. on forums worldwide there is a lot of hostility and close minded opinions which is the exact opposite of what the chill community supposed to be. So i'm really skeptic about making a forum..

Almost every section of the website has comments, you can add articles (so you can discuss everything you want).. If that isn't enough i guess we'll have to vote. Democracy wins.

not too many, I agree.

but take a look on what was going on on the twisted forum lately for example - http://www.twistedmusic.com/forums/viewthread/3674/

take a look on how it started and to what it turned out eventually.

it was once a nicer forum.

I don't have an account on psynews but many times I saw hostile responses in there.

sometime people forget that it's all a matter of taste and they can't accept other people's opinions.

I also think that there is a way of saying things about a certain release that you don't like for example and sometimes people on certain forums are quite rude and offensive.

but I must say that here on isratrance ( ambient chillout section )most of us people are very nice, intelligent and polite.

I can't say too much on the other isratrance sections because I'm mostly here but from what I saw it is quite OK.

cheers !

The bottom line is that you are kind enough to put the time and work into what looks like a very good site. We benefit from your kindness. It's your site and your rules. If a forum is a hassle, I'm sure we'll live. As an admin, I fully understand how each additional service offered can nickle and dime your time and energy. Having to babysit Internet fights (as I do on the forums I provide) can be an unwanted headache.

On the flip side, my experience with the group of people that frequents this sub-forum has been great. Everyone is generally very polite and tolerant of each other. Even in disagreement. Much different than most of the other forums I visit daily. This is one of the groups of people that give me hope for humanity in the long run.

I think at the very least you need a private forum for internal site discussion.
