Pure Perception Records is proud to present its first downbeat compilation 'Chill Selections pt. 1'. After a long search we've put together a fresh and uplifting compilation full of highly intelligent Ambient, Downbeat, and Chill Out sounds. Each track having interesting atmospheres combined with thick textured soundscapes giving a unique feel to each song yet keeping a consistent theme.
First up Drifting in Silence brings us his classic ambient style full of emotion, atmosphere, amazing soundscapes, clean percussion, and lush melodies that melt in your mind. Qa is next and delivers a classy and melodic upbeat tribal groover perfect for the daytime at the beach or ride through the mountains. Intrinsic brings us a taste of his trademark highly intricate and breaky sound, combining deep mysterious textures with breakish percussion and rhythms to create a very unique and haunting vibe. Grains of Sound have created an amazing track to showcase their highly talented production skills. 'Call of the Cacti' combines a warm fat bassline with tribal elements, classic atmospheres, and clean percussions to create a melting hypnotic and flowing sound. Spundose drops off a highly textured and atmospheric break beat / glitchy / downbeat track that is like candy for your ear, with amazing effect use, a squirmy bass, 80's style synths, and an interesting offbeat groove. Pericles gives us an example of her very versatile range. This time combining a straight groovy beat with thick futuristic atmospheres and floaty ambient soundscapes taking your mind on a journey into the depth of the sea. Monk has brought a very impressive song to the comp with his first release. Classic and elegant melodies combined with highly rhythmic and glitchy percussions that turn into a driving hypnotic ride at the end. To finish the compilation out Mokolia have created a smooth relaxing ethnic and tribal gem featuring beautiful vocals and clean tribal percussions. A perfect ending to a beautiful compilation.
'Chill Selections pt. 1' shows the many faces of downbeat and chill out music with a consistency and direction that take your mind on a hour long journey into emotion, depth, color, intrigue and atmosphere.
