Take your pick on whichever answer applies.
- If you thing chillout is sad *sniffle*, then you're listening to the wrong stuff. Most of it is more relaxing than depressing. If you want sad, go listen to some Explosions in the Sky and then report back. This stuff will sound like happy clown music in comparison.
- If your post is a roundabouts way of saying chillout sucks, then why bother posting in here? Go post positive contributions in the forums of the music you like and don't try to stir up shit here.  |

some is def. sad like Aes Dana stuff has an extremely melancholic feel to it.
My wife often says alot of the true ambient I listen to sounds too clinical, not real emotion.
Psy-dub is def. not sad nor is the fusion style of Dakini Records.
Lame statement but made me think a bit...

For sure lots of chil out has a sad feeling to it, but it can also be anything else, the whole spectrum, that`s the magic.
And it`s the same with non-chill out music. |
