i wonder why in your partys you not try to put some ambient /chill out preformence also at the side of the trance.or correct me if i am wrong...
don't you will love to hear in the start of the aprty build up from some good act?like Ott,healer,or other in that style?
even in festival like some in your top now i see only trance...what about 3 days festival and stuff like that?
intresting to know your taste people...
all my best to all of you and only happy in your ways...
ps---wish that greece will take the euro  my native from cyprus ;-]

well our promoters don't think it's worth the cost. i personally do. but on the other hand we have more significant problems to solve in a party.....

Isnt it a pitty to book a respectable artist like Ott and bring him to play in a one night event on 23:00 hours in front of 20-30 people?
Its a pitty for the artist that will perform in front of an empty crowd and a pitty for the promoter who will pay a lot of money for nothing.
For me chill out music is appropriate only for home listening and trance festivals and not for one night trance events.

the way you put it D, for sure it is a pity.
it wouldn't be a pity though, if a night trance event had a chill-out room were even a local dj was playing some nice ambient and people could sit down, relax, talk to each other, rest and then go in the main room and dance again...
also, about a well-known one. i am pretty sure that if a flyer had "+chillout room with special guest dj OTT" written on it, a lot of people would come only to listen to him.
the way i presented it, it's not a pitty anymore!

We dont have a club for proper parties in Athens (not to mention Greece) and you are asking for a chill out room?

and for sure we can't have a chill-out room when we don't even have parties, but that doesn't mean that it is not nice to see a chill-out room in the future......

I would even go to a festival if it was to play only chill out music.
As for the musical taste, I would go to a party only to listen to Ott, maybe someone else from dakini, interchill?. (why not, if the mood is right)
Yes i find it a very good idea to warm up people with downtempo beats.
People might want to , but its not the easiest of things.. |

detox right for sure in the thing about 30 people in the front of OTT(for exemple)---but isn't famous name will bring more people?

Kukan,OTT is a great name and great musician indeed but i dont think that someone will go to a party here in Greece just to hear OTT.
I mean very few people are so much into ambient music into our country.

The problem is Detox, there WERE chill out rooms in clubs in Greece. Remember Battery at some events, or ALSOS at some others. Alsos also had 3 fucking stages, fully working every saturday and some times friday. Moreover, there were after parties, with fantastic progressive trance. And, for the record, there were times when the chill-out room had more ppl than the main stage. As for Ott by the way, yes he is good. Not as good as Shpongle though. And, if such names were booked for a party with PROPER respect from the organisers and the club owners, rest assured that the place will be PACKED from 2300.

Other Reality my friend before many years many things were different in the trance scene in Greece,there were more clubs,better music,better people etc etc.
In our days everything has changed (unfortunately).
