The Baraka people based in Oxford have there Chillathon psy chill event that falls (I think) the weekend of August 18th.
Also in August there's Solfest is as near as your going to get in England nowadays to the free festivals of the late 80's - early 90's, it's not free it costs £35 (which still makes it the cheapest UK festival this year) there are psy chill elements to this festival the people who run the chill out area of Leeds club "Cabbage", will be taking there Positivi-TEA cafe/ chill out area complete with solar powered soundsystem I'm playing a set there along with some other people who play chill rooms around the north of England; Bez23, Gerry Aum etc there are several stages with live bands playing music ranging from Folk to Punk to Electronica, Banco de Gaia are playing the dance area. This festival takes place on the August bank holiday (weekend of the 28th) and it is up on the Cumbrian cost line (north west, very nearly in Scotland) which might be a bit too far to travel from your London base.
As for websites as John said http://www.psy-forum.co.uk is where everyone in the UK finds out about parties. or when you're in London pop into the "Psychedelic dream temple" a shop which is in Camden Market and pick up some flyers.

Besides in the dream temple you'll find the monthly line-up inside the shop wich includes several chill-out sessions.
I'm playing the 13th. of August for example

PS:Philip don't hesitate to put yourself in contact with me once you're here
