Hello everybody!!
I am posting this topic because i am realising a problem in partys here in brazil and I was wondering if it was happenning in other places too, help me...
Here in Brazil, i used to go to partys wich were great at 1999, 2000, 2001, everybody was in the vibe, crazy, smiling, and having the time of their lives. But last mounth i went to a party and what a shock!! I see very much children (15 to 17 mostly) all hooked up on drugs, drinking and getting sick at the dancefloor, which for me just kills the vibe. And thatīs not all. Here in Brazil in pretty much all the parties (out and in door) the police is showing up, busting clubs, busting people and i was thinking that these two problems are linked in a veeery sad way.
Every week in the journal there is at least one article talking about how young (under age) people get high on the parties and take SINTHETHIC drugs. Then they put the names of the places were they busted this fellas and print it on the news paper as well, FUC_ING UP ALL THE SCENE!!!
I think they should start asking for birth certificants at the door of the parties so that even the ones with a fake ID coudn`t get in.
Cause one thing is to a newspaper print that people take drug at parties and another thing itīs to print that people under age take drugs at parties.
PS: is not that I have something against young people that take drugs or/and go to parties, is just that this problem is really bothering me for some time.
please answer this the honnest as u can be!!

well im underage and i usualy hide in parties 
kiding....
hmm i kinda stoped going to parties cus of it...
dont like the rection of ppl seeing me (yuong man dancing),but hay i can sure understand them....anyway not much time has left till i will return to the dance floor
im wiling to suffer at home and not going to parties and making them good and qualety as they shuld.
p/s- but it's only my wierddddd opnion. im very oood |

If you're not dressed up like some halloween figure or not drugged up like an idiot you're ok in my book even if you are say 14-15 years old....we were all kids and I think it's pathetic to look down on kids that are only 3-4 years younger than you....of course most kids tend to go to partys to show off and break world records in taking drugs...thats why I sometime wish I had a katana at a party

i agree with dovla...
i'm 17, i go to parties almost every weekend and rarely take drugs - and i never caused any problem to no one. there's so many +20 people at parties full of drugs, making an ass of themselves and creating all kinds of problems... it's not about age, it's about mentality and responsability.
birth certificates?? i don't know how's the scene there in brazil, but for what i see in portuguese parties - you're REALLY over reacting

Hey all,
I see no link between minors at parties and what is happening with the police, though I agree itīs harsher on the public opinion to see kids using drugs than grown ups.
Itīs not only kids that abuse on drugs and drinks ending up geting sick, pp just got to be responsable, no matter their age.
I hv a friend who must be around 16 now, but she was 14 when I met her and she has the best vibes...
Hey Neo, go to the parties man, u 2 can be responsable. 
All this drug talk is geting to me, pissing me off, pp seem to hv forgot what PSYCHEDELIC means.

so this is kind of like combining the 'age at parties' thread with the 'drugs at parties' thread. I'm sorry, I don't see the connection here. Drugs are bad, little kids are cool as long as they don't drink or are too obnoxious (but that can be said about anyone, actually).
If the crowd at parties is 1000 people, and out of those you don't want to see 500 around, then you are in the wrong party, or the organizers don't know the meaning of the word 'underground'. Just go to smaller and more underground parties with less crowd, problem solved.

Hey, my problem is not with the young people, not al all, I am young and I was even younger than I am. The problem is the kind of propaganda that this kind of thing brings to the trance scene. I am a dj and I am begginning to produce a couple tunes and I don`t wanna be seen as a child corruptor or something like that. For me if u are 13 and take a triple drop of acid with ectasy and alcohol, I DONT REALLY CARE, its your problem, but when I open a newspaper and take a look at what it says, i just get PISSED OFF!!

I can agree with that, but my mother and pretty much all the rest off the ppl in my country just read the stuff there and digest it!! This mean that i can know that what it`s written over there is a lie, but the other 99.99% of the contry will still be believing at the news and more and more parties will be under "investigations".
We should try to make the newspapers say something positive about us, not all that childrens drug users crap.

Im 23 and i never caused any problems to nobody,but i had seen lots of friends....even older than me,gettin sick on the danclefloor and causing lots of problems.....

i dont think its fair to ask for id's , IMO the main concept in the scene is that there is no difference between people, we are all human beings and we all have the privilege to have fun !
usually these ages u r talking about are less responsible for what they are doing, but if drinking, getting drugged or getting sick is theyre way to have fun so...why not ?!
IMO if person dont bothers u or getting in your way or interferes your existence, let him be !
i suggest u to quit criticizing those "children" and enjoy your own "vibe" !
