Chemical Crew? Well, I think Israel can do much, much better (like MFG, Psysex, Panick, older Sub6 stuff etc.).
The music of Chemical Crew is anything else but psychedelic. It is some kind of cheesy Goa-rave with some very obvious metal cliché. Well, I don't like it, others might do, I don't care. I just think, that it has nothing to do with psytrance and therefore I don't think it fits well on psyparties. I don't even think it has anything to do with trance, just because it has a 4/4-beat. trance is a kind of music that is very subtile, that developes itself, that is patient and most important that sets you into trance by being very fluidly. CC have much too many breaks, stopstarts and sudden changes in their music to be trancy. would be better of on some huge rock festivals or so.
and btw.: if you don't like hippies and their music, why do you go on psy parties? is it the drugs?

u dont like thats 1 thing, but to say about pplz music that its garbage
its realy bad vibes.
|

Here we are again with all that spiritual correctness and the honest Goa man's fear of bad vibes.
Look, if you come and claim that Skazi would be Israel's *best* trance music, then why bother if others say it's utter crap? Why should it be ok to elevate someone in such strange and, frankly, immature way but not ok to do the opposite? Don't you think your demand here is a little unbalanced?
This is the one thing that I could never stand with Goa ppl. You're not allowed to show negative emotions or to criticize a little harsher then the usual arbitrary boom-shankta-blabla. Reality is not always nice, there are some very angry and inconvenient aspects to it and you won't get rid of them just by ignoring or even trying to suppress them with a lovely nice facade.
Seriously, no hard feelings, but tell me, WHY is it so bad to say, this or that music is crap?

Sorry, but I don't agree. First of all, you can't really compare cooking and making music simply because both artforms (yes, cooking is an art - and I am an artist ) address totally different senses. Taste is much less individual than it may seem and it is strongly connected to the knowledge of your body on what is healthy and what isn't. Listening to music on the contrary is much more connected to your soul and mind and therefor a very individual thing. So there is nearly no objectivity possible.
Second, I think that any artist must be able to take such verbal punishment. Otherwise he is not an artist but just another ego on the quest for appreciation. And I really don't think that it will decrease his popularity if someone says his music is crap. On the contrary, any publicity is good publicity. And good art is always polarizing and controversial. I think the worst thing for an artist is, if no one bothers. But if someone hates it, that's good. And for every little hater, there will be a lover. I hate Skazi's music, yes. But I accept, that people like it. I just think it has nothing to do with "psychedelic".
But I agree on one point: the distinction between criticism from a consumer and from a contributer. the consumer can say what he wants. But a contributer should be criticizing on a constructive way by accurately pointing out, why he thinks, this or that music is crap. That's the difference.
Cheers, Pete

To the fellow who started this thread..
I would recommend u hear Skazi's older stuff like "Animal". I like that album..
But for guys who make it like CC, i'm not sure but some hard hitting artists are...
Damage
Neuromotor
Azax Syndrom (newer stuff)
Elec 3
..sorry, dont really follow this style much.

really looking forward to GBM! should be wicked sick. though i hope the artists involved there stick to a harder style. as for cc - there was a time when they were good, but now - i really dont dig their stuff that much. like void's last album according to me was horrible compared to their 1st album. but i guess at the end of the day it all comes down to your personal taste. and you have to give some respect to cc for the kind of success they've got, but then again its debatable whether that's the sort of thing psy artists wish to achieve. again its discussion with no simple black or white answer - only grey. just giving my 2 cents.

Argg!
look.
There are two ways of looking at Psytrance.
From the Dancefloor......or from the DJ Box.
If you on the floor....u hear something you like ...say Damage....and it becomes one of your fav.
Then as soon as he changes his sound.....u boycott him...because its not what you like anymore.
From the DJ Box....you have to try and keep ahead of the masses...trying to stay fresh.
Not everyone is gonna like your new style or newer music.
This is just the way it is. Look at Tsuyoshi Suzuki.
Was my HERO....until i heard he is into house now.
So...i still respect his artistry....i do not like his HOUSE music.*apparently he coming out with new Psy stuff again*
The producer MUST eat....live....save for retirement....get married support his family.
YES....they are REAL ppl too!
So excuse them for maybe trying to make some more money with what they love to do....MAKE MUSIC!
Do you really think that because YOU don;t like it anymore...that they will go back to the old style?
No mate....they gonna do whats best for them financially....most of the time.
Face it....there is not THAT much $$ to be made in Psy....and these guys have got to milk it while they are still in favour....
I say it VERY clever of Skazi to have gone the route he has. And he taken the CC crew with him.
Respect!
Still don't like their music tho!
You want to hear some KILLLER tunes?
