ok.
the first image is a bit grainy, rough around the edges. you might want to soften it a bit. use a gauss blurring effect or some diffusion. your use of filters is interesting, but it appears you're relying on those alone. try using some more hands-on approach - use some masks and stuff like that to enhance the outcome.
the second pic is pretty nifty. i would accentuate the eyes more. they are very expressive and need some more attention. add some glow to them 
the third pic, well, i liked the idea. the theme of yuor eyes here is manifest, but apart from the background, the eye seems a bit out of place. try blending it in more, make it a part of the background. Than bring it out.

amature or no amature, your concecpts seem correct, as well as your choice of pallettes. keep going at it.
