Well, this was probably many years ago. Logic 4.7? This is probably from 1999 or so.
These days, yes, you could make that music with a standard laptop, but was than an old G3 Mac he started up? That couldn't run more than a few soft synths at once.
He has got some great toys to play with anyway Just a few years later, the kid grew up left the playmobil and started to develop a new hobby. A hobby which he seem to be able to afford it. This hobby includes some hi-priced-(very)addictive-sensual-large-and-breakable toys.

i dont see any harm in using multiple screens...it rather helps to manage the countless windows...eskimo uses 3-4 screens in his studio
