i made a mix yesterday afternoon and though it sit nice, its dry, there's no eq or compressors or fx anywhere. (its only bass-kick & percussion)
my main thing is that i use focal for monitors, have them about 7 months and i feel that im now starting to knowing them
and would appreciate very much if someone can check it on other setup and tell me about the overall sound nad mostly the low end, please(here, i said the magic word ). the file is 24bit & 1minute about btw i hope it doesnt get to long to be downloaded.
thanx a lot

i forgot , the track is peaking at about -10db , just to mention (it might sound low, turn it up! )

sounds really good, but dont wonder why noone downloads your 20mb 1min part, quality mp3 would be enough here.

sound good man , but i think you should eq it n specially the lowend and the kick bass is a bit too much balanced in the high imo resulting in a thiner sound when i a/b it to a reference track, but it s really a matter of taste.. sound good already but could sound better

yup , thanx for the feedeback,
i know it needs dynamic processing of course and theres no process at all in any of the tracks, cant wait till i tweak a bit more the virus to sound better and make it audio to pass it through some eq, i just was curious because this was made in a couple of hours and sounded very tight,, for the first f$&#ng time at last
thanx pom bout the kick advice, thats what im talking about, cause im my setup & room the kicks (of commercial tracks) sound a little "blurred" and as i wrote above 7 months with the focals and still trying to know them (im getting closer:) i think )
so its mainly about the translation on my setup compared with others (thats one of the biggest problems after all)
thanx again

Sounds very nice to me. Great bass patch. Is it a layered bass sound (1 layer for the click + 1 for the body ) or nicely tweaked filter enveloppes?

i made it from scratch with a virus b and used three oscillators for that (no eq, sidechain etc), find the best way than using different layers, its more difficult for me anyway
tip
virus oscillator 3 kick asses for subs, so much better than the sub oscillator, more stable and concrete for adding subs on the bass sound
