Ok...you got an empty midi track...insert a synth of your choice...then you got this field in the bottom..where you even see the name of your synth..etc.. if you open the aditional view option..you know?
if yes..just klick on the little play button in this smallì i call it `control`window...next to the little tool button...ok so far...next to this small window you will now see all parameters of the synth...then go to the right top of the window...there you will find the button called `midi` click on it and a lot of thing will turn into another color..those parameters a able to be controled via midi or via your keyboard if you click on key instead of midi...next step...go back down and click on the parameter wich you want to control...then move a poti or fader on your controller...click again on the `midi`button at the right top....there you go...
you can even set the midi resolution to smooth....
check this for further information..

..in this way you can even control the tempo with a poti..from 20bpm to 999bpm...wich is very cool...provided that you got all your clips warped...

so hope i could help you out m8...enjoy live...
