Is there a way to change the key on a sample
I have a sample I would like to work with, but is in a different key than my projeckt?
Cheers!

I use simple but effective program called Audacity for all sampling stuff. It has pretty functional pitch change without stretching the playing time. Try it out

If you work in fruity, you can change the root note inside sampler,in the little piano at the bottom of the sampler...Left klick to change the root note. |

if it is a sample, then im guessing there will be a change in pitch(speed?) of the sample.. this can be overcome by using a granulizer.. it only change key but the sample play at same speed... peace |

RIGHT click on the key to set root note. Left clicking(and dragging) changes the range, anything outside of it wont play.

I work in cubase... now i have put the sample in Groove Agent One..
should I go to edit pad, and then screw on the coarse / fine to get the right key?
(My sample is in C, but my project is in F #) |

In cubase 5 you can use the vari audio function.
It will scan your sample and then you have it in some sort of midi notes.
Select all the notes and drag up or down.
Works for me
