so i see many people are struggeling with the good and the bad side of getting more sensitive towards perceptions of any kind and developing of the mind... its a blessing and a malediction at the same kind..
and it doesn´t stop with music, its also with food and tv shows and even cars (don´t laugh)... also women in our lives...
getting deeper inside something brings you one step further, you can know better now what fits for you(or in general) but it also makes you vulnerable in many cases. cause the world you live in doesn´t change as fast as you do in every field.. and if you know about good and bad you will be constantly confronted with bad..... does´nt make it easy sometimes!
on the other hand, knowledge, bringing it back to music can make perception more intense.. we have to see it as some sort of gain.. now that i know about structuring and good sound architecture i can enjoy more what comes from artists like carbon based lifeforms or other masters in their field.. i really suck up every tone and the harmony what other people seem to perceive as "ok music" i see as a truly masterpiece...
not only disatvantages coming with the development...
but the really hard things to see is how predominant stupidity is throughout the world.. killing seems to be very popular still.. when will the others wake up?! |

@ shachar: Perception of sound and visual image are not similar in that way. Perception of sound is almost direct while visual input is heavily processed and indeed more than 90% is based on guesswork, memories etc.
With sound things are quite simpler but similar processing occurs with language recognition. But language depends on matching certain sounds with corresponding meanings. But music feeds directly into perception. Interpretation of the music is what is the problem.
"It occurred to me by intuition, and music was the driving force behind that intuition. My discovery was the result of musical perception"
Albert Einstein, speaking about his theory of relativity |
