Part of my technique is to find and mark cue points, seamless loops, and loop layers and write them down on insert cards for use in a set. I imagine many of us do something similar. I typically mark all of my time in "time remaining" mode. I assume almost all CDJ's have this mode. Is there any reason I would want to note "time elapsed" as well? Have any of you encountered a situation where only "time elapsed" was available on the decks provided?
Or have there been any other situation where you found essential functions not available to you when you took the booth?
