I like the traditional way dat machine, but after some uses the tape starting to have problems on sound quality.I like the mixing system and reminds the old parties...digital analogic technology...magic...feed me mind feed me...dancedancedance...
only Goa Gill is still playing with dat now.

Well, casette is a no no. Vinyls I dont have to much of experience with, but I love LP's and the vibes they give. DAT, never used it, never will. But same thing here.. I always used to hear stories about psy beeing exchanged trhou DAT-Tapes. I dont even know how they look.. I think? Mp3 is just so unpersonal. I have a iPod, but I prefer CD's as I love original albums and the feeling of owning them. Nothings like getting a new album from, lets say psyshop, and putting it in your discman, and just wonder in to a new world. mp3's again, does not give me this "pleasure". My discman is broke, and thats kinda why I bought a iPod. But rest a shure, I still buy albums. + I need albums for DJ'ing-. bla bla bla...
Edit: MD, I never bothered buying a MD player. I felt it was somehow wrong, and that it was just a fling that would dissapear soon. And then mp3 player came. No, I kept on to my CD's.

I prefer CD for work (DJ'ing), while I miss vinyl but it was unhandy, heavy on my back, and I wasn't very fund of the rough sound (vinyl noise) - the feel and look was great though. I use mp3 for daily, example having my iPod connected to iTunes and listening music through there or just traveling along. Used to use MD, and I've recorded a lot of mixsets onto that format.

I prefer CDs overall.
There are only 3 real competitors for me.
1.: DAT
To cumbersome and not sturdy enough. Also, it lacks the functions I need for mixing. A plus would be theoretical sound quality.
2.: Vinyl
Bad sound quality - I know, some will say vinyl sounds better... and, when confronted with facts, they will argue that if you put vinyl to work on a 3000 USD record player and its a good pressing it will sound better.
I dont really care, since I would be using 1210s and there is always cracks and pops in the music and it sounds like shit (worse than MP3s) no matter what anybody says. (Yes, I would rather listen to high bitrate mp3s than vinyl crap)
3.: Computer(.wav)
To cumbersome and Id be affraid it would crash in the middle of the set... Also, I prefer CDjs over the software in the PC. One day, CDjs will be obsolete though - So, this is the future... Its just not really there yet for me to adopt it, or, Im not really there yet
Thats it - And guys - Lets not turn this into a vinyl vs CD debate - These were MY VIEWS, and noone can change them. If anyone wants a debate about that - They can use the search
Best Wishes
