CD's released in Brazil

Well, last year we had several fullon and chill CD's released in Brazil by Vagalume. Looks like this year we're having WFC Corp. on the market too.
Does anybody knows how things are going on, in this sector? Will the ppl involved on vagalume and wfc continue to work on it in 2004? Is there any new cd comming to Brazil right now? How often will be released a cd?
Sumarizing, anyone got any info about this area?

Vagalume is releasing Protoculture's and 1200 Mics' latest albums afaik (I write the promotional material for their stuff, these were the latest I wrote).
no more info other than that though. but i know the guys intend to keep pushing it further, which can only be for the best!

they are releasing in Brazil. You can buy them on the stores where they distribut the Albums...
Nuclear Vision / 1200 Mics / Protoculture are not avaible yet, maybe next week...i hope

they distibute the album thats released from the forgin labels
they make the prints and stuff here
but they are not a vagalume rlz
just a vagalume distribution
same goes for WFC
in the case of high end they release there own stuff,,,made printed masterd,etc etc in brazil
also there are many psudo labels here
but not worth getting in to
ahahahahaahah

Well, I bought protoculture´s on Tracks (a shop from Rio) last week, asked about 1200´s (just asked hehehe) but they didn´t hv it nor hv heard of it´s distribution by vglm... But @ UP they were already selling both of them...
BOOM vagalume, very nice to buy original cds for R$30 near home (@ UP it was R$25)... |

It's not like they are just distributors - they actually license the whole shit (paying upfront to the labels), print it, etc etc. A lot more work than just mere distribution. dunno the inner workings at wfc, but it should be the same way.

Ricardo on Inter Groove store is selling some imported CD's too, i had the oportunity today to see some of them. Sesto Sento / High Light Tribe / V/A - Tweakers [spun rec.] / Eskimo and some Spirit Zone's compils, but the they cost like 60 bucks each one so not everybody will get interested on that...
ps: hehe good we had a different conversation here, long time we don't do that

hi all ....
first of all i would like to apologize Luiz paulo that really understood the hard work regarding selling original cds trance here in brazil.
it`s a big work that explained why thoses cds get problems to appear in brazil. we need to give advance to thoses labels to see them trusted on us. after need to paid the print. after paid the publicity for promotion and all stuff that we need to pay every month regarding the usual cost as a company have.
but the way is here now. this new year 2004 will be a great one. now we have more labels added on W.F.C. like TURBO TRANCE rec., MOON SPIRIT rec., ALCHEMY rec., FROGGLE rec., MANDALA rec. and FLOW rec for the chill out side.
soon we gonna open a virtual shop for give to all the opportunity to get cds from everywhere in brazil coz we have shops in the most important city in brazil but unfortunetly it`s not enough. with this online shop on internet people will get more access for buying original cds at a brazilian correct prices (maximum 25 reis + the transport regarding the quantity and the place where you will be).
also we planning to bring some artists regarding the upcoming releases that will be out in brazil also a fucking big work to see it happened but it`s our job and we like to be busy regarding this kind of work.
we already get killer support from brazilians and we would like to say thanks for that. we need support and also need consideration regarding MP3 business.
if you really like your music you need to understand that artists and labels need to see people buy cds originals for keep the market running and growing. if it`s not , we gonna see trance music died. it`s the fucking true. hope all one day will understand this point. too many artists and labels stopped coz people didn`t support the music that they liked.

well, i would like to introduce you guys (once more hehe) to aeon-records. yes, we are delayed concerning our first release arise, but its on its way since i just sent the master to cosmophilia. release date very, very i mean very soon...
due to some serious brazilian homemade problems we decided to press the cd outside brazil and have now the problem to bring the shit back to where all started. brazil is NOT (yet?) the country to open a label and think all will be good.
