It's not physical, it's spiritual... everybody knows that physical objects are merely the manifestations of aspects of the universal 'one' and that any division between the mind of the observer and the CD being observed is purely an illusion. When you burn a CD (with a device that manifests itself in consensual reality as an 'optical laser') it's the universe writing data about itself onto itself.
